A portrait of the Rot God. In the Aurei pantheon, he warns humans about the dangers of “Old” or pre-Fall society, and stops people from repeating the wrongdoings of the past- such as engaging in scientific, communistic, or democratic actions. He appears in a form of many arms and legs, wearing earrings of IPhones, his flesh sloughing off, wires and electrical machinery growing from his skin. He is definitely a terrifying sight, but the Rot God is not a monster. Instead, the Rot God’s appearance embodies the failure and destruction of old civilization. For these reasons, in this depiction of the Rot God, I chose a dark background and white pencil so that the Rot God seems to emerge from the darkness, ethereal like starlight yet horrific, decomposing, and revolting.
