This piece is a propoganda poster set in the Yen Rebellion, an event that occured in the 39th century revolving around communist revanchist rebellion in the Celestial Empire. Communism in All Under Heaven is already an ancient idea that has been shifted and molded for the benifit of ruling elites for milennia. As in all other pieces, when considering how to make this, I put myself in the position of a communard in the 39th century. What would they be proud of? An interesting detail in this is the pikeman in the top of the image. Though a humble levied soldier, he is depicted on top, for the everyday private is projected as the most important and crucial element of the army. Yet a look at the equipment of the figures shows otherwise: the generals standing before the pikeman are dressed in complex armour, which would never be afforded to levies.
